AOC MEMBERS' PAGE

The Nominating Committee for 2011 officers of Albany Obedience Club consists of Barbara Hackel, Gail Jay, Joan Pivorun-Wehrle, Wendy Archinal, and Sue Robinson.  The alternates are Barb Viviano and Helen Specht.  The Committee will meet on September 15, 2010.  If you have suggestions for members willing to fill any of the offices, please let one of the members of the committee know before the meeting.


 MEETING DATES

A general meeting is held the second Friday of every other month -- January, March, May, July, September, November -- at the AOC Training Building.  Members are encouraged to attend.  The starting time is usually 7:00 p.m.  Information about the meeting is included in the Tailwagger.

AOC 2011 AWARDS BANQUET

The Awards Banquet Committee has set the date for the 2011 banquet as Saturday February 26, 2011 at Carmella's Banquet House in Rensselaer, NY.


AOC POLICY ON VOLUNTEERING

"AOC will pay for plaques, engraving and plates for recognized titles and achievements, provided the member has documented volunteering at least once during the calendar year."

Each member is responsible for his/her own form.  In the meeting room there is a drawer in the filing cabinet set aside for members to keep their forms.


BUILDING USE

The building is available to members when classes aren't scheduled, and on weekends when the facility isn't being used for a show and go, training party, trial, seminar, etc. 

PolicyA person must be a member in good standing for 6 months, attend at least one membership meeting other than the meeting they were voted in, and participate in at least one volunteer activity before being eligible to receive a key. To obtain a key, e-mail Meryl Winnie at meryl@arcon.bz

Members are charged a $5.00 fee for each training session; members may bring a guest for a $15 fee per training session.

All equipment MUST be put back against the walls before you leave.  Please be sure to turn off lights, lock the door and close the gate.

Remember, this building belongs to all of us.  Cleaning supplies are in the bathrooms and in the kitchen cabinets.  Everyone needs to do their share to keep the building clean.

The building will be cleaned on Mondays from 6:30 - 9:30 a.m.  Please allow our cleaning person to do her job -- work around her if necessary.
